Although it's been around for a few years now, the Nokia 6230i has become something of a design classic. Its 65k screen, along with good resolution means that despite its small size; viewing your phone is not a problem.

The 1.3 megapixel camera lags behind top end camera phones but is acceptable for those just wanting something simple. The video recorder is good for up to one hour of recording. The Nokia 6230i also has features that include voice commands, voice dialling and the ever popular hands free speaker.

The 6230i is expandable with a memory card that can take storage up to 512 Mbytes, which will allow modest data storage.

Being Bluetooth capable allows you to easily swap pictures and sound tracks with other Bluetooth users, you also get USB and infrared options. Connecting to the Internet is easy and the phone comes with an XHTML browser for viewing the web. Checking and using your email is also simple to do.

If you're after a bargain priced phone, the 6230i is a great option. Although it's specification is not as extensive as the latest fully loaded mobile phone it still represents a quality, value for money purchase.
