With an 8 megapixel camera the LG Renoir certainly is a visual power house. The Renoir sports a high quality video camera complete with slow motion effects, plus an FM radio, and an MP3 player along with Dolby Mobile.
Connectivity is courtesy of HSDPA with 7.2 Mbps of quick broadband Internet, meeting your storage needs is an 8GB memory card. The technology doesn't stop there with a touch screen, 3G video calling and assisted GPS the LG Renoir oozes cutting edge features. The Renoir, when launched, was one of the most powerful multimedia mobile phones manufactured.
The LG KC910 Renoir is a slim mobile phone, yet it's packed full of features. With technology such as a full touchscreen, an 8 megapixel camera the Renoir is built to please.
The camera in the Renoir is supplemented by a high quality Schneider-Kreuznach lens, along with autofocus and a xenon flash; plus new features such as beauty shot and face tracking. The xenon flash performs better than a conventional LED flash, and gives superior night time shots.
The Renoir is also the first phone to feature Dolby Mobile. This emerging technology from Dolby processes sound to improve music replay, especially by boosting the bass output. The phone is also very flexible in the kinds of sound files it can play with support for MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+ and AAC++.

Before I bought this phone, I have owned/ used comprehensively the LG Viewty and the Samsung Tocco. This to me is a far better phone. Touch screen is the best going and menu so intuitive, a sensible operator would manage without instructions. Camera has loads of different settings and a tap of the screen either brings these settings to the screen or gets rid of them.Always check camera settings and alter to get very best quality possible, as when camera arrives it will NOT have the best settings on phone by default. It even has a lens cover.
The earphone cable has a button for taking pictures so it helps taking odd angle shots with phone camera, also it makes it better to hold. You can also tap a certain point on the screen and a picture will be taken using that tap place as the focal point, very neat indeed. Definition and sharpness of the camera is superb, it struggles a bit with the flash but then if you are sensible enough to realise it is, at end of the day, a phone and not a camera, you will soon realise its very strong points and get over its weak.
Phone has Dolby nr and stunning quality, mp3 player is miles ahead of the two phones I previously mentioned above. Also I was given an 8mb card with it, I think this is par for the course, so if your phone provider won't give you one ask why not when others are giving them away.
If you are a touch phone addict then as far as my non professional opinion goes, this is the one to get, its ab bril!!! I did not mention the main features as they are common now on high end phones. I have been on Google etc. with mine and find downloads to be reasonably quick, I mean we are not talking about desktop computer on broadband, it is just a phone. Tap the W on the screen and it will bring up what widgets there are, fairly decent amount, many more to be had on-line, ie weather, its never right these days anyway so why bother with that, just look out the window, better still use a lucky bag like the weather folks must do-ha!
Works really well

Hey,
i got this phone a while ago, from the moment i got it i was pleased with everythin it did, its easy to navigate and easy to work out, the touch screen is brilliant and the screen is clear. There would only be a few down points, the m-toy could use some more games rather than the ones on it with no instructions or anything, sometimes it tends to shut down by itself as well
but overall i would recommend this phone to anyone, i recommended it to my sister and she is very happy with it too,
thank you i hope this helps
Great camera but mobile lacks applications!

First of all the camera is great and has a range of modes; smile detection, panorama and a variety of scene selections. The video mode is not bad as in you have most basic features; scence selection, fast motion mode and slow motion mode.So overall the camera id not bad BUT THE CRUBBISH FLASH!Which is far to dim.The phone lacks abilities that it should have; fast good internet; the internet is slow and the browsing is generally rubbish. The widgets are limited and a bit dull. The quality of the video and pictures are great but the sound is quite low.one good thing must be the touchscreen; very sensitive and effective.Overall a great camera phone but as a multimedia phone not so good. So if you have a LG Viewty STICK WITH IT.
Rubbish phone

I previously did a long critical review of this phone under the title "so close and yet so far". So many things were almost good, but let down badly at the last minute. For example, it sorts MP3s alphabetically according to the internal tag name, which means you play a full CD and the tracks are played in the wrong order. And there is nothing you can do about it. Oh, and so many more annoyances.
It seems my critical review has since been removed and only praise remains for this phone. I'm not going to waste my time writing it again just so Amazon can remove it.
To cut a long story short, I've ditched this and brought a HTC Touch HD, it's a fair bit more money, but has none of the drawbacks of the LG KC910/Renoir. My new phone does what it says on the side of the tin.
Anyone want to buy a slightly used LG phone?

The LG Renoir gets its name from the French impressionist painter Pierre Auguste Renoir due to its photographic qualities, and befittingly has a large palate of features like Dolby Mobile, Wi-Fi and 8 megapixel camera capabilities that even usurps the performance of standalone digital cameras.
